Vulcab Scramble!
Hi all
I am part of the Vulcan to The Sky Club, a charity involved in the multi-million pound restoration project which last year saw the world's only flying Vulcan Bomber return to the skies.
We need to identify further funding of one million pounds by the end of February to enable us to display XH558 at Britain's airshows again this year.
On 22nd February, a team of club members and engineers will attempt to drive around all 15 UK-based Vulcan airframes within 24 hours, starting at East Fortune at 00:01, and arriving in Southend before midnight.
I'm leading the project at the Vulcan based at the Midland Air Museum in Coventry, where the team are are due to arrive in the club Scooby (yes I know, but I had no say in the matter! Subaru are one of our main sponsors) at 10:20 on the day (traffic allowing, of course!)
I'm arranging for a bunch of Alfas to meet at the previous Leg (Wellesbourne) to accompany the Scooby in style to Coventry. It's about a half-hour drive.
Would anybody be interested in coming along?
Entry to the museum is just £5.25 and they have an excellent collection, including the magnificent Vulcan herself.
Not only that, you would be helping to keep this iconic aircraft in the sky!
Hope I can count on your support
Aggy
