Re: Modifying a 156 2.5 V6

Yeah, Dan's a right old dark horse hiding stuff from us like that,

Listen up fella's!!! I have 2 cars in the pipeline right now, there's a GTV V6 up in Leyland I'm hoping to buy this weekend! If it's still for sale,

And a 166 Super down in Bournemouth that looks great, but to be honest I'd rather have the GTV!

156 wise though, I love them, but I'm after an Alfa Romeo V6 ASAP, as I miss my last one just way too much. Plus, the 156 V6 isn't QUITE as quick as either the Super or the GTV, but still great car's.

1) '98 156 V6 2) '00 156 2.0 TS 3) '97 GTV 2.0 TS 4) '98 156 V6 5) '01 156 1.8 TS Sportwagon

Get the GTV, you know you want to! Besides, I'm sure you're not 'pimp' enough to own a 166 Super

What colour is the GTV?

I know I want to, it's whether it's still for sale or not I'm worried about, Yeah, the 166 is a great car with lots of room, but I don't need lots of room to be honest so.... GTV BABY!!!

The GTV is red with tan leather and looks great Dan, especially with the red brake calipers, here's a link to its old eBay auction where it didn't fetch all that much for some reason.

Alfa Romeo GTV 3.0 V6 24v LUSSO ***AUTODELTA *** on eBay, also, Alfa Romeo, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 15-Nov-07 18:31:29 GMT)

I was interested a few weeks back but had a mass shortage of money suddenly, whereas I'm out of that boat due to a nice little bonus from work

I really want it. It's had the belts done late 2005 so they won't need changing for a couple of years hopefully. It has 112,000 which is a bit but I won't be doing that many miles myself anyway, and I'm sure that 112,000 isn't killer mileage for a 3 Litre anyway.

I still won't be able to keep up with you though which is annoying,

Re: Modifying a 156 2.5 V6

112,000 is a lot but its a long way off fatal.

Red and tan is the nicest combo on a GTV, I saw this one for sale a while ago too..

What do you think of the wheels though? Bearing in mind I have a spare set of 17" GT Multi-spokes..

Re: Modifying a 156 2.5 V6

How much do you want for the wheels Dan?

I quite like the ones on it to be honest, I prefer alot of sidewall with the way I drive

Get this, insurance for the GTV TPFT is £940, whereas for the 166 SUPER it's £980, I'm surprised it's more expensive for the Super as the GTV is a BIT quicker. Weird.

Re: Modifying a 156 2.5 V6

£940 is pretty good.. That settles it, GTV V6 it is

Not sure if I'm gonna sell the wheels, I won't be with those two good tyres on anyway! Need all the tread I can get I've no doubt this 3.2 will eat the rubber if I drive it hard.
