Novitec exhaust for 159 - My experience

Just installed the Novitec exhaust system for my 159 2.2 Selespeed. Happy with the outcome. The exhaust sound is now more bassy even at low revs, helps bring back a bit of the alfa-ness in the 159. The basic car is too refined IMO.

The installation was a breeze, no cutting or wielding, and it took around 30mins.

That sounds very interesting.How has it affected pickup and drivability?Is fuel consumption worse than standard?I assume this is centre box and rear boxes you have had fitted.I agree the 2.2 is a very refined engine,a blessing on long journeys but it's the howl at full revs that doesn't sound quite as purposeful as it might.The Novitec system sounds like it could be the answer!

The consumption figure seems to be the same as stock. Pickup is definitely better, no hesitation when moving off in 1st gear. Be warned that the exhaust "pops" when I down-shift.

It really puts back the alfa-ness into the car.

I agree about to exhaust note. My 156 2.0 JTS was much nicer.

Nice Novitech seem to do good gear. Are the exhausts TUV approved??
