Re: Peco Full Exhaust system

Chav city
If your going to replace the system, CSC (eb spares) do a mild steel or stainless.
Italian systems better are IMO and produce a nicer sound.

Have a look on gazella for raggazon too.

Re: Peco Full Exhaust system

Peco are a bit Max Power tbh, keep it real supersprint or ragazzon both italian makes both difficult to get hold off but worth every penny.

I'm waiting for a center section for mine, could be some time though considering the factory only tools up for large batches and it's on back order

Re: Peco Full Exhaust system

Personally, don't like th way a Ragazzon system sounds on idle or low revs. Full chat, different story.

The Cybox ones on 156.net are very good. Custom made for them when a member approached the company to begin making SS sytems. There are a few videos on YouTube. I have had the opportunity to hear a FULL system including the Sports Cat they sell. Sounds fantastic. When funds allow, I will be buying.

Re: Peco Full Exhaust system

Powerflow will give you a bit of a wallowey sound. Buying exhausts is a very hard decision as you just dont know what they are going to sound like! best of luck

Have you actually heard one?

I resent being refered to as a chav even if it is indirectly.

I have the Peco / cybox cat back and it sounds just fine on a 1.8ts.?

On the V6 it sounds fantastic. IMHO it is worth every penny. Lifetime guarantee too.

Re: Peco Full Exhaust system

i have a custom powerflow system on my 2.0ts an its alright, just alright tbh.

i did like the fact that i was able to get a tip that looks exactly like the standard lusso one but just marginally larger bore, also i was able to customise mine by specifying

-must be mandrel bent (this is not standard on powerflow but is on ragga etc)
-no larger than 3" as i need decent backpressure at low revs to clear the manifold with a decent vaccum effect.
-i had an extra mini muffler added as i thought they were a bit noisy rather than 'tuned' sounding (sounds sweet as a nut now).

all in all i ended up with a very decent system and im happy with it, power delivery is a bit different from standard, it seems a bit more torquey at low rpm, and the surge i had @4300 when the variator changes the valve timing isnt as apparent now but the power is definitely felt shortly after.

it sounds civil enough at low revs and when its at about 6000rpm it hits a note that is unmistakable and coincides almost exactly with peak power which is handy to mark where you want the engine running when your givin it a bit of welly

as is with most things you get what you pay for, its not quite ragga but its close enough that for my money it was perfect, i would compare exhaust choice with filter choice; the BMC CDA, its the best of the best but halfrauds do a copy for £60, an unless your intending to race your car its not worth goin for the all out super delux version when youll never notice the difference.

suspension tho id pay for the best i could possibly afford!

2.0 TS, custom hand stitched leather and alacantra interior, custom SS system, H+R suspension upgrade

Re: Peco Full Exhaust system

I've had the full CSC system, and the Novitec cup system on my GTA and I can safely say that having heard Chris155's Peco @ Oulton Park on Friday, its not in the slightest chav and imo, far nicer sounding than either of the systems I've had.
