2.2JTS Remap
Has anybody had their 2.2JTS remapped?
If so what was the cost and benefit?
I'm looking more for driveability and better economy than just power.
Had a look on the net but there doesn't seem to much available, certainly not advertised.

Re: 2.2JTS Remap
Have a chat with the guys at Red Dot. They can do a custom map to your specific requirements. I'm pretty sure they have done the 2.2 JTS. THey have done a few of the new diesels for members on here.
www.reddotracing.co.uk - Speak to Augusto or Andrea and mention you are a member here. If anything it's worth a chat for their valuable advice.
Autodelta are good but OTT price wise if you ask me.

Re: 2.2JTS Remap
I was planning to go for the turbo early next year but I may end up just going for the remap due to dire shortage of dosh. I still haven’t heard any comments on just how effective the Autodelta remap is for the 2.2 ???

Re: 2.2JTS Remap
As I said, ask Red Dot if they have done any. They'll be honest. Seems my comments were overlooked. I'm recommending them as I know they are excellent. Much better than angel.
I'd guarantee it would be a ton cheaper too!

I don't want an argument about which tuner is better, so lets just stick to recommendations and not putting down other tuners. I've done 20,000 miles with an Angel remap on and am thoroughly happy with every aspect of how it drives.
*Having said that, I'm not sure Angel do the JTS engines yet, its not on their price-lists anyway.

Re: 2.2JTS Remap
Hi, Yes, my Brera 2.2 has been remapped by Jano at Autudelta and it's much, much better, £390 plus VAT though.
Go for it.

Re: 2.2JTS Remap
£390 plus VAT is way too expensive for a remap IMHO.

Re: 2.2JTS Remap

Re: 2.2JTS Remap
Getting an improvement in power and torque as well as curing running problems the 2.2 suffers from included in the re-map seems like a reasonable price.
But hey, you are intitled to an opinion which is not valid as you have not experienced our re-map.
Even if other companies eventually manage to re-map the 2.2 engine I doubt they will cure the problems we have.
We are dedicated to Alfa's only and test these cars on a daily basis, we dont just have a few sessions on the rollers and hey presto.
No hard feeling guys, but we have spent a year on this project and to hear people just make comments without valid knowledge or experience, I have to defend my ground.

Just had a mutual customer in this morning after having your remap and air filter upgrade and he is well pleased. I'm gonna ask him to let me have a go and try it for myself

With all due respect Jano, if there are other problems that are separate to a remap then the price may be reasonable.
A remap alone, is not worth £390 +VAT. IMO

Re: 2.2JTS Remap
I had mine mapped a month ago by Jano. It removed the really annoying surging around 2000rpm, kangarooing when cold has gone and the throttle now responds!
Performance is better all round and it is a bit lighter on fuel in town. Basically now its a much nicer drive and it is clearly a major improvement on the original so for me it was worth the money.

Jano, that is great news.I am fitting a cat back Supersprint exhaust system to my car, will the remap be as successful with a non standard exhaust. The exhaust is supposed to give 10 HP.

You will not gain 10HP with a cat back. You need to get a full system to get anything like that.

So you are keeping it. That's where you lose the flow. I would consider dumping that too. Just causes a problem for emissions here in the UK, you can't pass an MOT without it.
