Listen Chaps that was what the Chief Fiat Techie at a dealer told me... he should know right

This detectable remap map subject is discussed infinitum on other forums too !! (See VAG or SEAT forums as to whether RevoTechnik remaps can be see on VAG.com diagnostic equipment !! )

TBH warranties in France are very ad hoc.

The 12 month rule never seems to apply, so long
as you bring it in before the mileage is up they
honour the warranty. When I ask "It's been 12 months,
are you sure it's not due a service?" they always
say "Non."

(It always makes me fret a bit. )

Well the dealers have never said anything about the Leon's remap... or the Exhaust... or the Air Filter (They even fitted the induction kit for me )... or the lower strut brace... or the short shifter... or.... you get the idea

I read an article on tuning petrol engines in Auto Italia some moons back. AFAIK, it's all to do with getting the check sum right. Angle do this but they don't do the new JTS's. I'll ask the boys at AD before I commit

I agree about pulling off smoothly in traffic
