Treating my car!

Well I been saving a bit of cash and now I think it's time to treat my bella properly.

I'm currently negotiating a leather trim from a guy whos breaking a 2003 car. I've just bought a new exhaust and it's going in for its 60K service.

Sweeet!

Re: Treating my car!

I really wanted Tan, but these are the black leather ones with the extended support on the front and lumbar on the back

There is no badge on them and they have red stitching down the middle.

What do you think I should do with my alfatex seats?!

Re: Treating my car!

those are the uber rare TI recaro seats. dont haggle too much or they'll be snapped up !

alfatex ? i assume they are the cloth sportspack seats. if you have the space then keep em for when you come to sell the car, otherwise bin them.

eBay your old seats, someone might want to get rid of the rubbish velour ones without having to pay too much. You might get £50 for them..

Re: Treating my car!

Got those seats in ours, they are mighty comfortable on long journeys.: Extra £1200 or so, she paid for them back in '51. Go for those little beauties.:

They aren't rubbish by any means. Very comfortable and they are from the interior facelift in 2002

Oops, I don't mean velour sorry - I meant the "courdroy" style ones from the early, early 156s.

I'd say thats a good price if they are in good condition. Do you get the door trims as well, so you have matching leather in the door?

Re: Treating my car!

OA,

Those seats usually comes out of TI models. (not always, but mostly)

If it's a TI, then see if you can get your hands on the black interior trim bits, - and the roof lining.. you know which bits i am talking about i think...

Those black bits really changes the mood of the cabin..well worth it IMO.

Re: Treating my car!

ah.. on closer inspection my trained eye spotted that the photo you submitted is in fact not from a TI.. the trim panel behind the front seat belt guide is light grey...
