Lets clear something up. The so called "Gemini" unit is a race LSD that is supplied by Quaife. End of story, it's a series of diff as there is also a transmission that they make that replaces the gearbox in VW Golfs that run really powerfull engines.
I have seen a VR6 with EIP turbo kit, a monster of a set up that crancked out 700hp at the flywheel at 2 bar boost, that car used a Gemini series gearbox.
I'm NOT going to argue.Say whatever you want, my 3.9L GTA is a living fact & in any event with the new set-up Dawie has advised me to use an even more radical LSD set up, which I will.
All certain members of the AO can do is try to contradict & for the fool who questioned the 320mm brakes posted by GTAFAN well you need to understand that they replaced the PUNY little rear set up & not the front 330mm 4 Piston units. Is that clear???
At the front an even larger set up is used but as they are using the standard 17" rims then this will be restricted to 342-345mm??
These are the sizes that MOV'IT provided me with as did TAROX if you retain the 17" wheel size.
On 18" then the 360mm fronts with the 6 or even 8 piston set up can be employed.
It seems that those that accuse don't know the difference of a brake set up with a seperate handbrake caliper, the handbrake usually mounts on the rear brakes unless you are driving something thats allien to this planet??????
You should thank the likes of GTAFAN & other Alfisti that go to great lengths to improve the performance of their cars.
I for one value the thread on brake upgrades as my only choice has been to make expensive calls from South Africa to Autodelta, MOV'IT etc to try & find ways to improve the brakes along the lines of the increased engine power of my car.
Now I know there are some other great solutions out there & I witnessed it in September.
I NEVER BS..............Fact!!!!!!!Accept it!
There are SA Alfisti on this forum that remember my M3E46 Supercharged only to well as this was the car that I turned up to my 1st Alfa event in Port Elizabeth with.
Power output of that thing was 545hp + 250hp port injected NOS kit. When running on 102octane race fuel & the water/alchohol injection kit this car made 600hp+ then add the gas.
I've had many modified cars & I owe no explanation to negative individuals. I've listed the dates of my cars magazine features, get on their website & order the mag.
On Active Autowerke's website,
www.activeautowerke.com
just check under 600hp M3's & feature cars & low & behold you will see my Oxford Green M3 under the title "Blitzkrieg".
I don't BS & pretty soon there will be more features & then the Greek magazines when I'm over there as well as a nice link on the Greek Alfa Clubs website. Then I suggest that you take a holiday in Greece where by far we have better weather & come & see it for yourself.
