PS: Alexandrus - I'm not having a go at you here, because I assume English is not your first language, but its "sane" not "sain"

GTAFAN, they look fantastic

However, I still don't understand why you replaced the 330x32mm ones, particularly if they only weighed 5.5kg - you appear to have installed an inferior set-up?

Alexandrus you ask for facts and then ignore them:

1) Fact Monstro said he had a Novitec Supercharged GTA;

2) Fact Monstro said he had an AutoDelta Supercharged GTA;

3) Fact Monstro then lists the Alfa's his owned - no Supercharged ones are included;

4) Fact Monstro says he has a Gemini LSD fitted to his car;

5) Fact Monstro says he has Quaife LSD fitted to his car; and

6) When queried Monstro fails to answer explain these contradictions.

There are the facts Alexandrus but you choose to ignore them

Oh and by the way, certain confidential information has been passed on to the appropriate authorities on the forum - of which you're not one Alexandrus.

But I'm more than happy to share this information via PM with other appropriate people who do genuinely appreciate facts and not fantasy

:thinking: Yes - no prancing horses, and your car seems to have changed from white to silver...

GTAFAN, just to be clear, are the picture of the brakes you posted the ones on your car?

Re: 8 PISTON Brake upgrade for Alfa GTA !

For those who seem to have problems reading, they are REAR brakes, first of all, and second, GTAFAN never said they are on his car.

Kevin, sorry for asking, but which of the facts listed was actually posted by YOU ? Because false or not, they were posted by Monstro. If you can list one fact/tech info posted by you in this topic, please do. I never said I igonre any facts, I only said I preffer facts over flame, for that matter false facts over flame, fairytales over flame, I have said so at least 3 times but it's hard to get past your righteous shield and made myself understood.
Gary, thank you oh great English/grammar professor, you have guessed, English is not my first language, it's not even my second one.

Re: 8 PISTON Brake upgrade for Alfa GTA !

Gents,
Just to clear things check the thread on my 3.9L motor as I have included the contact details of the tuners concerned who could confirm it all. I have also listed the details of the Sales Manager at MOV'IT who I deal with. Lets end the BULL here & now.

GTAFAN has 305mm discs at the rear with Porsche 4 Piston calipers.That's what his car had on in September when I last saw it.

I am now busy confirming final sizes with MOV'IT for the rears, either 305mm or 342mm depending on the final answers out of MOV'IT in Germany. I beleive though that it will be the larger size with their 4 Piston billet calipers.

I have EVERY RIGHT to comment as I have spent the money!!!!Beleive me, it's NOT cheap guy's.
Regards,
Monstro

Re: 8 PISTON Brake upgrade for Alfa GTA !

Lets clear something up. The so called "Gemini" unit is a race LSD that is supplied by Quaife. End of story, it's a series of diff as there is also a transmission that they make that replaces the gearbox in VW Golfs that run really powerfull engines.
I have seen a VR6 with EIP turbo kit, a monster of a set up that crancked out 700hp at the flywheel at 2 bar boost, that car used a Gemini series gearbox.

I'm NOT going to argue.Say whatever you want, my 3.9L GTA is a living fact & in any event with the new set-up Dawie has advised me to use an even more radical LSD set up, which I will.

All certain members of the AO can do is try to contradict & for the fool who questioned the 320mm brakes posted by GTAFAN well you need to understand that they replaced the PUNY little rear set up & not the front 330mm 4 Piston units.Is that clear???

At the front an even larger set up is used but as they are using the standard 17" rims then this will be restricted to 342-345mm??
These are the sizes that MOV'IT provided me with as did TAROX if you retain the 17" wheel size.
On 18" then the 360mm fronts with the 6 or even 8 piston set up can be employed.

It seems that those that accuse don't know the difference of a brake set up with a seperate handbrake caliper, the handbrake usually mounts on the rear brakes unless you are driving something thats allien to this planet??????

You should thank the likes of GTAFAN & other Alfisti that go to great lengths to improve the performance of their cars.
I for one value the thread on brake upgrades as my only choice has been to make expensive calls from South Africa to Autodelta, MOV'IT etc to try & find ways to improve the brakes along the lines of the increased engine power of my car.
Now I know there are some other great solutions out there & I witnessed it in September.
I NEVER BS..............Fact!!!!!!!Accept it!

There are SA Alfisti on this forum that remember my M3E46 Supercharged only to well as this was the car that I turned up to my 1st Alfa event in Port Elizabeth with.
Power output of that thing was 545hp + 250hp port injected NOS kit.When running on 102octane race fuel & the water/alchohol injection kit this car made 600hp+ then add the gas.

I've had many modified cars & I owe no explanation to negative individuals. I've listed the dates of my cars magazine features, get on their website & order the mag.
On Active Autowerke's website, www.activeautowerke.com
just check under 600hp M3's & feature cars & low & behold you will see my Oxford Green M3 under the title "Blitzkrieg".

I don't BS & pretty soon there will be more features & then the Greek magazines when I'm over there as well as a nice link on the Greek Alfa Clubs website. Then I suggest that you take a holiday in Greece where by far we have better weather & come & see it for yourself.

Hello Peter,

We can confirm that the differential in mention has not be manufacture by Quaife Engineering.

We have never heard of De Vries or Glenwood Motorsport !!!

As the Quaife
ATB is a torque biasing differential it's characteristics are more smooth and progressive in operation.

Kind regards

Yes - but neither did he make it clear that they weren't on his car, and I know you will have trouble recalling this, but this thread was supposed to be about the brake upgrades he had done to his car - perhaps you'll now admonish him for going off topic

I'm sorry Alexandrus, but I'm not sure if you want people to take that remark seriously The FACTS that Kevin has posted are that Monstro has contradicted himself - is it that difficult for you to comprehend

Sorry Alexandrus, I was only trying to help you - I should have realised from your other posts that you'd prefer to remain ignorant

Sadly it's also quite clear that logic isn't a strength of yours either - if what Monstro posted is wrong then it isn't FACT

In every step, I hear your sobbing
Dare I break the shade with one caress
Dare I trespass to lift the veil
To touch the lips so soft and frail

It may be that love comes once and once only, preceded by rehersal, followed by regret.

Couldn't care less myself, and to be honest this whole thing seems to be boiling down to a 'who has the biggest dick contest'.

Dunno why all parties don't just meat up and get em out on the table then that'll be settled and we can all get on with our lives.
