I agree with you that you should have checked your facts before making such accusations. Please also remember many of the chit-chat posts are in the Way Off Topic Lounge, not the technical lounges. If people want to post fanatasy threads in WOT no one would mind, its when they polute the technical lounges it becomes a problem.

Yes, that does seem strange, I agree with you there. Although I guess some people enjoy getting spam emails and unsolicited mail, as at least it gives them something to read. We treat a lot of these types of people where I work.
Do you not think there is a problem if some people are convinced by these made-up posts, particularly if they try and copy what's been done and end up wasting a lot of their money?

Re: 8 PISTON Brake upgrade for Alfa GTA !
Well, if you want to chit-chat, why do it in the tech area ? Because so far I haven't seen FACTS or anything from you guys, just the usual chit-chat, endless as it seems. Have you come up with some arguments why the mentioned stories are false ? Do you have any agrument contradicting Monstro, tech argument that is ? Again, I see none, just accusations. We are not in the Way Off Topic lounge here afaik, some people seem to be confused.
You have arguments, well then, we definitely would like to see/hear them, otherwise you are just hijacking the topic.
Some guys here just post 5 times per hour, acting like they are judge and jury, requesting proof on things that they don't even care about, just to pose as moral champions, well, that sucks IMHO.
You do not believe the stories, fine, we get it. Monstro didn't endulge your requests for pictures and other facts, again, we get it, no need to hijack all the topics with the same problem.
Peter K mentioned some tech facts, I would love to hear/read those, but he now acts very childish in my opinion and he doesn't want to shade some light on the matter. It's his choice, I can definitely understand him.
Anyway, good luck in your quests, can we please get back on topic, so you can return to the Way Off Topic lounge and post whatever you want ? because I for one am very interested in learning about brakes, or maybe you consider GTAFAN's brakes are a fairytale as well ?

Well the FACT is that my original post on this thread was to say what a shame it was Peter K was taking a break from the forum (he posted his farewell on this thread). My other post have been answering YOUR queries (i.e., they are 'technical'). Ironically you're the one who is posting "chit-chat" posts

Well, clearly I do care about the accuracy of information in the technical lounges - in FACT you're the one who doesn't (see your post 175), so why are you posting here? Before you accuse others of being moral champions perhaps you need to read your own posts - who are you to decide what someone does or does not care about?

Well, if they are as light as he says they are they must be made from fairy dust

Re: 8 PISTON Brake upgrade for Alfa GTA !
Telling Peter K not to leave the forum can be done by PM, if you respect other members who would like to read the this topic. Making a circus on each of Monstro's or GTANFA's topic is not really polite.
And I do care care about the accuracy of information, but I am not a forum troll and I will not harass other members just to make sure their info is correct, and even if I would do that, I would do it privately, ask questions over PM, email and such, to verify the given info, not to show everyone how involved and morally aware I am. Because honestly, now, to me, you do not really seem like genuinely interested in the info and it's accuracy, no offense.
As for the brakes, if you are so interested in their weight, maybe you should pay a visit to Greece to verify, I for one and many other would gladly raise the funds for the trip, afterall, fairy dust should be found and documented for the sake of the comunity.
PS. Garry, I have carefully avoided your offensive insinuations so far, and I will do my best to avoid them in the future, but I think you might want to diversify your repertoir, (not so) subtly telling everyone they remind you of the patients you say you work with is really getting old.

Alexandrus, with all due respect I think you lack a bit of self insight. You say that you would ask questions privately by PM or email, yet the FACT is that rather than do that to me you have posted on this thread to "show how morally aware" you are.
Also of course, it would defeat the object of having a forum - the logical implication of what you say is that all threads should just be one post long, and then we should all email or PM each other. Please, at the very least try and think through your arguments prior to posting them.

I look forward to receiving the cheque to pay for the flight - as I'm sure you aren't a liar...If I do find some though I'll make sure that I have photographic proof!

There is no insinuation, I'm merely reflecting on what you said. Its a FACT that we treat people who are delusional and depressed - and you did confirm that you placed "more valuable" (sic) on the made up stories of GTAFAN and Monstro. Please don't criticise me for agreeing with you and placing that in its context.

Re: 8 PISTON Brake upgrade for Alfa GTA !
Hmm, it would seem I am talking/writing in vain, because you obviously can read, but not so obvious that you actually bother to comprehend what you read.
Yes, I know you like to post about 20 "clever" posts per day, it reflects your wisdom and intelect, we should all be aware of it, and I thank you for sharing that with us.
But the problem is it was not me hijacking just about the only 2-3 tech topics I posted on. if you would like to read, even though most part was already deleted by the admins, I never said anything in the other topics where you and your brother and a few others turned into forumistic versions of Terminator, in fact I never posted much that would prolong an already done to death flame. However, that is not to say I didn't read and take note.
Of course, you can interpret what I wrote any way you want, but if you bother to understand you might find that I only said I discourage offtopic and flames, not that a topic should be a one post long story. I am sure you can agree (or maybe not) that most people reading a topic would preffer if a personal dispute would be resolved over email or PM. Also, I think most people would preffer that one issued be delt with in one topic, not continued and dragged on from topic to topic, but of course, these are only my personal opinions, self deluted as they might be.
In this particular topic, I don't think I started anything, I actually tried to stop the flames and offtopic because I actually enjoy reading the so called fabulations and fairy tales of GTAFAN and Monstro. Yes, I obviously am just like any other person that doesn't share your opinion, self delusional and drepessed, I am trully sorry we cannot all be so sain and happy as you, I apologize for that, please find it in your heart to forgive me. Afterall, you're one of the few sain people and you must have some sympathy for the likes of me.
As for your trip to Greece, it was more of a joke, but if you are serious about it, please, do start a topic and you'll probably be surprised how many people would be willing to contribute. I definitely will contribute.
Anyway, continue to think whatever you wish about me, and for that matter about everything, I see there is no reasoning with the likes of you, so you can count me out of this flame, I do have more interesting things to do, like play Solitaire....
PS. Regarding Peter K, just to be clear, I actually liked having somebody always presenting the negative side of everything, but sometimes he is rather acid, and some can be insulted by his posts.

As you know he was asked about discrepancies in the '3.7 Normally Aspirated Thread' which he refused and/or avoided and/or was unable to answer.
