Yes you were right to question it and no not the 8v.

Here you can compare yours to the one posted earlier from the GT jtd.

It will not fit a 8v JTD but a 8v multijet (mjet with Code D10974 Transmission) <- this apllies to Stilo

Alfa:
M15 1910 JTD CF3 8V 85 KW
M16 1910 JTD CF3 16V 93 KW
M17 1910 JTD 16V CF3 103 KW
M18 1.9 JTD 16V CF3 136BHP DEPOT. BELGIUM
M19 1.9 JTD 16V CF3 150BHP
uses also 95721110
M15 use a 57/17 RING GEAR and M16 ,M17 ,M18 ,M19 use a 57/16 RING GEAR, but Q2 will fit.

The M88 is the only exception for the 8v (was using an old version of eper)

That clear things up??!

im sure the jtd 115 8v is M50 not M30? does that change things?

so did you think i was referring to the mtjd and not the jtd?

if it definatley doesnt fit then any ideas on how to make it fit?

You are quit right M30 is 2,4 benzin
M50 is 1.9 JTD 85KW/115CV (8v) but uses 71719516.

As Caldo Bollente says : The M88 is the only exception for the 8v (edit : with Code D10974 Transmission))

Re: Retrofitting a Q2 to an existing Alfa

so any ideas how to make it/get it to fit?

would be great if we could get a difinitive list for fiat and alfa engines that will take the Q2 without issue and what engines can be modified to fit.

so the alfa M15 jtd is the same as the fiat M50 jtd. and neither can take the Q2 as a straight swap. that right?

Get a 6 speed gearbox from a multijet/Mjet 16v (then you should also change gear linked cabels)

The M15 (147) has the same output as the Stilo, but no problem fitting it in that, straight swap.

You could well be in the same boat as notfast, if his hasn't had this modification (10974) then the diff's the same as yours. It appears to be an oddball, any of the other JTD's and you could fit either the Q2 or Quaife QDH2K (one that fits the twin spark's) good news is that's more pricey anyhow.

Beyond that I don't know, decent set of tyres could be the most economical solution.

Re: Retrofitting a Q2 to an existing Alfa

Sorry, just jumped in on page 18 from doing a search on google for "Q2and Stilo". Would I be correct in saying the part number for the Q2 differential is 55208952 as it has a 933 code with it, that says "front auto locking differential"?

Re: Retrofitting a Q2 to an existing Alfa

i was referring to you list saying except the 100hp 8v jtd 147 as this seems to be the M15 and the same as the stilo M50 jtd 115?

as far as im aware the 6 speed from the mjtd has different mounts to the 5 speed so isnt a direct replacement?

Stilo 115hp has less torque compared to the 147 115bhp...not sure if it uses different gearbox.

based on the above list the alfa 1.9 jtd was 100bhp yet you say it had more torque that the fiat 1.9 jtd 115bhp?

Re: Retrofitting a Q2 to an existing Alfa

M15 is the 115bhp version of the 147 JTD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And YES the Q2 fits M15 147!!!

and YES it produces more torque then the 115bhp Stilo.
