yes, the 1.9jtd is different to the VX, but isn't the 2.4jtd a VX F40 box?
The 20v 2.4JTD does use a GM gearbox so the Q2 diff will not fit.

Re: Retrofitting a Q2 to an existing Alfa

Just driven a 147 Q2 loan car while my jtd16v is in for repairs - simply stunning! A totally different car; feels better planted, more agile and puts the power down impecably on tight wet muddy roads. Best front drive manners I have ever come accross.

I am waiting for delivery of a Brera 2.4 jtd to replace the 147. There MUST be a way to get an LSD in the Brera - help!

Re: Retrofitting a Q2 to an existing Alfa

They should be a Q2 for the 159/brera "soon" by Italian standards this means any time from tomorrow till never

The 3.2petrol one is coming as only FWD at the geneva motor show in march...it should have LSD.

Re: Retrofitting a Q2 to an existing Alfa

Even if it does, I doubt that it will fit in the 2.2 gearbox.

Re: Retrofitting a Q2 to an existing Alfa

If it has the Q2 diff, that should actually be a real enthusiasts car with the lighter weight, assuming they have a sport suspension option for it (Ti?).
The standard ride height is very high.

Re: Retrofitting a Q2 to an existing Alfa

As far as I remember the FWD 3.2 will be around 35kg lighter then the Q4 version...and if they decide to finally introduce the new high strength steel (whatever) they should reduce the weight by around 70-90kg...which is the first step in weight reduction.

But again...we should remember that Alfa is an Italian company and everything can happen...

Interesting to see they analyse the JD power results..

-35kg is a bit disappointing though.

Re: Retrofitting a Q2 to an existing Alfa

I see Autolusso are doing the retro-fit Q2 fully fitted for £500 inc.

It's a must have mod for our GT (very soon too - April).

Re: Retrofitting a Q2 to an existing Alfa

Both Stilo 1,9 8v Mjet and 2,4 benzin uses 95721110 differential
So therefor Q2 will fit
