new turbo instalation prep?

looking on net most advise disabling engine/fuel and cranking over 15-20 secs to confirm clean oil flowing to feed pipe prior to fitting
on a jtdm 16v how is this done? will disconnecting injectors at plugs work or cause damage?

Should be a crank sensor connection somewhere, with the petrols we simply disconnect this to loose spark and injectors till we get the oil flowing how we'd like

Should apply to the common rail diesel too if it's using engine management to run the injectors.

Huh, where did you read it? Just fill CHRA and feeding pipe with oil from syringe. Then tighten the pipe to the engine block.

I agree you should do this. But to be sure to build up oil pressure in the oil line you can disconnect the plug on the high pressure pump, that'll work.
Also what I did when installing a new turbo is disconnecting the vaccuum line to the turbo. Then the vanes remain open so the turbo spins at a very low rpm. Then after 5 mins of idling I connected this line and you can actually hear the turbo accelerating.

I'll look for the hp pump plug after.
Should of changed and maybe flushed oil before I took old turbo off. Going to try to bypass oil feed from block straight to sump.
