GTA cam part no's

I'm trying to help someone verify a set of cams he got off someone. They're supposed to be GTA cams. What is the marking on GTA inlet cams supposed to be?

didn't notice any tbh...

fit a gta cam lock on it

close up pic of the lobes could help also... the gta cams have fatter lobes and flatter tops... more squared lkobes if you will...

Fit a GTA cam lock on it. All the cams are ground from the same blank castings so you cannot go by whats cast into it. All the V6 cams have the same cast numbers on them.

Ok this looks like a fatter, flatter nose to me then, so I take it this is a GTA cam

Looks like a GTA one to me, definitely not a 2.5/3.o inlet cam, they are pointy.

Are the Gt / Gtv / 166 3.2's cams the same as the Gta?
What made the difference in power?
I heard so many oke saying different things about this.

Yeah all 3.2 inlet cams are the same.

Difference in power is either mapping or just marketing.

I believe the intakes are slightly less restrictive on the Gta's and you can actually hear a bit more induction if I remember correctly.
Haven't been in a standard Gta for a while.

No it is not.

It is mapping if at all.
We had 156 GTA’s GTV 3.2’s and 147 GTA’s on the dyno all of them making more or les the same power definitely not almost 10kw difference.

GTA cam identification

Hi!

I'm about to buy a set of cams which are claimed to be from a 3.2 liter GT engine(all 3.2 liter engines have same cams, don't they?). Does the cam top in the attached picture look like it's from a 3.2/GTA engine?

GT 3.2

That looks like a 3.2 inlet cam. I snapped a photo of the 3.2 blocks with inlet cam block to the right, and seems to be the same profile.

I'm speculating on other bits from what I guess is the same engine and have reason to believe it's a genuine 3.2. PM me for details.

Yeah thats definitely the profile of a GTA inlet. Very flat topped.
