Lester Vents
I was on the Lester.it website n saw they offer the mito "GTA look" wing vents for the 147.
Has anyone done this as im thinking on doing it to my 147.
heres a pic of it on Lester's mito, Lesters 147 and finally my 147.
Should I or shouldnt I? Im trying to think of all the positives and negatives...

It would look OK if the wing blinker would be integrated somehow into the air-vent... but this just makes it look cluttered...

Doesn't look good IMO. Loooks like what it is - a chavvy aftermarket add on. As TribesMan said, the design is poor, it really doesn't look good. Don't do it.
Cheers,
Nigel

Its a great idea, but cr*ppy execution, the shape is ok, just too big for the 147. It would work if was 50% smaller with the side repeater integrated like Tribesman said, I reckon.
Youre better off designing some decent looking shapes and getting a bodyshop to do it for you.
These Sprinter vents dont look too bad.

You could try it with the facelift/156 side repeaters as theyre a similar shape, so might look quite good set inside a smaller version of the vent.

Sprinter vents look ok but still a bit pointless in that position IMO as the induction is on the front left behind the bumper. You've made your 147 look nice so far mate but this will probably cross the thin line from tasteful styling to halfords carpark special. Why not crack on with some powrr mods instead

Bacon has the right idea ... Alfa's shouldn't be chavved up ... the original design is good! Clean and tidy ...

As I said, good idea, depends on the execution, the photo the op posted is awful, for instance. But looks good on the 8C . . . unless someone is suggestin the 8C has been "chavved up" ? !

Every aesthetic mod on that car is terrible, vents included. He put Golf wheels on his 147 - case closed.

I was specifically refering to the vents, which arent too bad, certainly streets ahead of the pic at the begininng of this thread, so the other mods are irrelevant.

Although the fact that he put 5 horseshoe Golf wheels on it, though not my taste, means he has thought about it and they are in keeping, as 5 horseshoe wheels are an Alfa thing-theyre on the 147 Ducati Corse, the 159/Brera/Spider, the 8C, to name a few.
Mind you, what do I know?-I ve put MG wheels on my Alfa after all !

I found it absolutely hilarious when a MK5 Golf GTI driver said something about my car having copied his wheels, I asked him, how old do you think my car is..? (98 PH1 GTV V6 16" teardrops)
I don't mind that GTV vent but the Cup original just looks so much better.... and all the other vents proposed in this thread, I hate them! The Alfas they want to use them on don't have the same sort of guards (i.e. very low slung) so it just looks stupid on them as there's far too much space between the lines that the vent goes between on the 8C.
