Massive yawn, Brembo brake upgrade bearing question

Ok so I've trawled through the various threads and got most of the answers so I'm not going to bore you with " what do I need for the brembo conversion" question ! I think I asked it myself once!!! I'm a little confused about 1 little thing. I know the GTA hubs need to be swapped for the originals ( I guess it's a driveshaft spline thing? ). So it's wise to fit new bearings as you are pressing them in and out. But which bearings do I get? The standard JTD ones from my car or the GTA ones?

Easy thing - bearings (JTD-GTA) are all the same (#60671437). See my thread regarding brake upgrade http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/tunin...s-upgrade.html (8V JTD brakes upgrade).

You won't be able to remove the hubs without damaging the bearings. If you replace them make sure you put them in the right way, I think they only have the magnetic track for the abs sensors on one side. - They also need to pressed in with a hydraulic press.

If you go down this route you also need to factor in the cost of abs sensors. They usually break when you try to remove them.

The GTA drive shafts are the same as the v6, the only difference is the outer cv joint which includes the short splined shaft which goes into the hub, this is a larger diameter.

Yes, moreover you can't mess it up, as the bearings will fit only one way. You can press in the bearing using hydraulic press or high quality vise.

I must admit mate our cars are extremely similar. GTA brakes, lowered, mapped, sw etc You must have good taste
