Modifying 156 opinions?

So after shopping around various alfa tuning sites for ideas of what to do to my 156 i have had a few ideas and wanted to run them by the community for some feedback.

I have it booked in for full service and cambelt with gus next month. Once thats out of the way im thinking of getting a gta replica bodykit. 17"/18" alloys lowered 40mm on koni sports. The exhaust has already been changed but i know where there is a supersprint manifold i can get for a good price to add to it.

The car at the mo is cosmos blue and the paint is far from perfect. There are a few marks on the bonnet and roof, the rear quarter is very dull. This might all mop out but im finding it hard to find the right wheels for that colour. So im thinking when i get the gta kit, cadamuro grill and tall spoiler having it all fitted and the whole car sprayed gloss white with black alloys.

I have never seen a white 156 before so would be something different. Its all going to be over the next 12 months but i plan to keep the car for a while yet so done mind spending some cash to get it how i want it.

Gus is an excellent starting point..
How about stripping out the interior and anything you do not need, personally not a fan of body kits, its your car though, there are a couple of white 156 that knock about around here, one is standard with red leather the other is a rally rep, me likey..

I like the sound of a rally rep. Im not after building a speed machine so stripping the interior is a no no, plus i love music and have 2 12" subs in the boot so that wont help weight. Im ususally not a fan of bodykits but it looks the same as a gta. I wouldnt have any other kit other than standard looking. I would love a zender kit but they are like gold dust now.

One of the best things you can do is add some 4-pot front brakes, petrol 156 brakes are a bit lacking for a car of its size and speed.

I was considering that but thought that uprated standard discs and pads might do the job?

They will be better, sure. But nothing like the stopping power of 4-pot calipers. Brakes, suspension, tyres, then power
