Right, I'm going to fit a new exhaust.....

I think I'm going to go for a CSC...

or maybe a supersprint (but a bit more pricey)

Opinions of both or other makes?

No quads thank you.

Re: Right, I'm going to fit a new exhaust.....

Have you ever considered a custom system?

I've had anumber of systems fitted by a small man man company in Crasyhill just outside Brillericay called 4extreme performance.

Here are the ones he's done for me

Saxo cat back straight pipework into a custom groupN style 2" taipiped back box £350 but had my manifold changed at the same time which he fitted

Back box with a 3" tailpipe on my 740 Volvo, he also removed my centre box as it was a very quiet back box. £220

Fitted a supplied back box for my Gen2 Honda Prelude EX £90

Cat back straight pipework to dual custom 3" cans on my 2.0 16v Cougar, very loud, bubbled, popped and farted like a turbo £300

I can dig out his number if your interested

Hmmm Re: Right, I'm going to fit a new exhaust.....

Don't bother mate unless there's something wrong with the standard one, it's not too quiet yet it's not loud enough to attract too much attention. If you have to though, then you know what I think of CSC! I would seriously look at Hayward & Scott as the quality of their work really was good on the 164 Cloverleaf we had and the price wasn't too far off CSC either. It was also quieter than the GTA, without having any cats in it, they will cater to your preferences though. Speak to Lloyd and he'll tell you the same thing.

Did you go on Saturday then?

I didn't go in the end due to the rain forecast.

I fancy something a little louder than the standard though..

I don't want a custom job though.

I know your opinion on the CSC units but they do sound nice.

Tempting really. Might just change the centre section and remove the silencer.

That's a great idea and the cheapest way to get a little more sound too! The backbox has to be Supersprint or H&S for me, the CSC is now good for making EVERYONE aware of my presence, literally by making buildings shake at just idle, just too much attention for me.

Re: Right, I'm going to fit a new exhaust.....

What do you rekon to the duplex ones?

Im seriously considering one but i don't want it to sound crap & chavvy. Maybe a better noise when flooring it but for town driving id rather have it quiet.

I just love the look of them.

Alfisti Ragazzon

Alfisti CSC

Is CSC worth the extra?

I was going to change the bumper but i really like the sportwagon original so i think im just going to modify it.

No problem! You've got a few companies to choose from but finding out whether they have pipes that fit a standard backbox rather than their own is going to be trickier though they should all fit, with the exception of Supersprint.

Yep, but Regazzon and Novitec do an unsilenced version, getting hold of them isn't easy though. It might be easier to get one of the Powerflow places to make it up for you, probably the cheapest option too.

I'd go Supersprint every time.

I suppose it depends if you just want it for the noise, in which case, any will do. Nice to know that Supersprints has been dyno tested and engineered for the car.
