sorting out breathing?

Hey all

just thinking about starting to sort the breathing out on my 147, and whilst lookin around alfisti came across this: clicky

Would it be a worthwhile buy for moving towards free flowing engine breathing?

Thanks,
Phil

this is what i'm wondering... would it make any worthwhile difference to justify the €89 (for product) + €17.50 (for delivery)?

Re: sorting out breathing?

I <think> it might lower your torque a little, reduce the back pressure a bit too... But I am no means an expert on this.

Re: sorting out breathing?

Leave the mid box in unless you want to loose torque.

IMO, the best setup you could get is supersprint manifold, stock or sports cat, and superprint, csc or ragazzon boxes all the way back out but without a reduction in boxes.

the manifold alone should see you another 5bhp as it is the pre cats that rob the 147 engines of power (though i am speaking for the 2.0. the 1.6 may be different).

Re: sorting out breathing?

the 2.0 needs backpressure moer than the 1.6 does for its VVC type system, i would be cuious to see tests of that pipe on a 1.6 with stock manifold and a reasonable back box. i dont see it being a problem really
