from 270 to 353Nm on 1.9JTD 8V

Hi,

Just had my 159 1.9JTD remapped at Heinz tuning. They do dynojet testrun before and after.

According to the report I went from 270(@2200RPM) to 353Nm(@2700RPM) and from 120 to 157Hp(@3700RPM). This seems a lot for 8V, doesn't it? The car still feels quite heavy at low speeds but above 100km/hr, the difference is immence; really good thrust in 5th gear up to 180km/hr. Also RPM power-range is extended; full power up to 4500RPM, vs cutoff at 4000RPM standard. So at least 150HP from 3 to 4000RPM.

Turbo pressure seems to have rissen only slightly, as if it remains in overboost at about 1.4bar vs 1,2 bar in standard settings (according to gauge).

What are the general remap results for this engine?

Sounds good, are you based outside of the UK? I'm pretty sure you can't get the 8v version here..

Hi and welcome.

I'm a bit old skool to know what to expect from what re-map but that sounds quite an extreme one. Certainly a big hike in % terms.

I've never heard of Heinz apart from the beans, of course, so maybe they're the ideal firm for Happy Man's new GT!

I hope it is reliable for you.

Still almost 300NM of torque at 3,700rpm where power hits its peak - that is pretty impressive

I think you can get a big change from a re-map if your car is turbo charged, its just naturally aspirated when power hikes are much more modest....?

Have you got any graphs for this remap

And maybe some more info on the tuning company would be useful too

Indeed you can.. you can get silly power from a remap... right up until your clutch, turbo or engine goes pop !!

and even sillier hikes in power from turbo diesels :O

even NA petrols now are seeing a good 10-15% increase in performance with some tuning companies.

yes it is possible and you have a standard remap in your car, nothing extreme...

I have driven with such a remap for more then 100 000km's....for the last few thousand km's I am on the extreme side around 170+bhp and 400NM
