Cams
Hiya all,
What cams would best suit the 2L TS engine?? I have heard of Cat cams, Kent, Piper and Newmann cams?? Anyone have any experience with the above or any other maunfacturers and have ye seen good gains?? I will be doing injectors, fuel pump and exhaust with all these mods.
Cheers,
Damien.

Re: Cams
Sorry now to hijack your thread slightly but do you know anywhere in Cork that would do a timing belt on a 1.6 (mine) properly that has the tools to do it and has the passion to do it right???

Re: Cams
No bothers man, I don't to be honest my friend could do it but it would be his first Alfa he works for Turners cross motors. If you want you can take a trip down to waterford with me next week as I will be going there I need a new cam variator on the Alfa and you can have a look at The Sweeps set up they are the only people where your car doesn't come back with extras.

Could you ask them how much to do the timing belt on a 1.6 (excl. variator??)

Lol, I am part time all right but work all the time haha have work tomorrow actally haa.
Emm the reason my old man wouldn't go to them is there dealership is like swinging a cat in a shoe box too small. I don't think there is any good Alfa dealerships in Cork. Maybe the Lee will change this and I really hope they do. Cos it will be good to see a good service brought to alfa owners in Cork.

Re: Cams
As said, C&B cams are your best option. Also have Autodelta or AH Motorosport options. You'll need it remapped as well. I take it your putting a two litre in it? Should be pretty cool when you're done.
Think the cams are a bit more expensive than suggested though...

Fast road cams for TS engine I checked are usually between 260° - 275° but cam is a very complete design influenced by lift and timing as well. Can’t be compared purely on duration as different manufacturer might achieve the same or better performance with shorter duration and different other variables.

Re: Cams
I would also consider getting someone good to polish the cylinder head if your looking at different cams. When you say your doing the injectors and fuel pump as well, does this mean renewing or upgrading
