is standard ecu remappable?

on my 33 i have a magnetti marreli ecu, is this remappable as i am told by a good source if i have an ecu remapped and larger injectors i can push another 50 ponys.

I don't think you can have it remapped as it is an older style ECU, you can certainly have it chipped, will only give another 5-6 BHP though.

You'd need a bit more than an ECU flash and large injectors to get anywhere near 30 never mind 50!

Hi chap

get a chip off ebay.that's where i got mine.about £30 all in from germany.easy to fit.revs to about 7600-7800 and loves it.

cheers for the info, never been to fond of the old chips as its confuses the ecu, i know thats the whole point but its a bit dodgy. i shall give it a go anyway. does it just plug into the ecu?

it's to all effect the same as a remap, since you're replacing the old chip containing the maps with a new one...
