It's a 210BHP engine as standard but would guess one of the companies could easily do it.

Re: Alfa romeo 159 ti 2.4JTDM chiptuning

Autotuneheinz Belgium claims to convert it to 250bhp with an ecu remap only.. Put some margin on it though, in case of 1.9JTDm 140bhp they were able to add real 30hp. I guess in case of 2.4 35-40bhp plus is feasible. Deducting marketing encouragement they gave me I guess 240-245bhp is possible.

As I understand it, it depends on how it is done (something to do with an ECU checksum)

Be wary of possible damage to the DPF with a re-map.

If the remap was dodgy and made it a bit smokier, wouldn't the DPF clog up quicker, causing limp mode?

What is the cure for a clogged DPF?

Re: Alfa romeo 159 ti 2.4JTDM chiptuning

10,000 miles since I had mine (albeit only the 200bhp version) remapped by Red Dot and no issues to speak of yet (other than better economy and a bigger smile on my face) - not even a murmur from my DPF

My before/after figs are in the attached

The DPF has to be reset, by a good blast down the motorway. But I don't know what regular clogging would do.

It may not be an issue, just that remaps tend to be smokier.

Mine is re-mapped to about 245hp and 530NM....

For two weeks since the remap, no problem with the DPF yet.
