Wave v6 intake mod pipe- WEIRD!

Hey all, i have a TS 156 and i ordered the v6 intake to do the intake mod.
when it arrived to the alfa part center it seemed different to what i expected and once i had a close look with the car it is totally different.
upon some research i see they have given me a different intake. it is the one in the pic attached -#5.
does anyone know how to mount this? i presume the actual intake inlet mounts to a different section... not the front grill as before?

and do you think this will be better than the current ts intake resonator?

??? confused.. please help

Not sure how it mounts but I guess the top must mount up behind the headlight. I seem to remember someone said that the Italian police used that intake instead of the original resonator box.

Its not as short as the V6 pipe but the actual air intake should be well out of the way of any rain water or floods

Yes that part is used on the Italian Police 156 TS and also on most 156 TS sold outside of the EU.

I thought the GTA pipe was the one to get? Thats what I fitted to my 156 as it was a lot bigger.

It's different to the one I got too. Mine faces forward and appears a lot shorter than that one. Part I ordered was as per the pic below

This is the GTA pipe, this is what I fitted to my 156, notice it is bigger and has smoother bends in it.

Re: v6 intake mod pipe- WEIRD!

The V6 pipe is also fitted to the JTD and is a compromised design as a result as its design to fit around additional pipes on the JTD. The GTA pipe is the one to go for.

The GTA pipe is working fine. It will help a lot at low and middle revs, but on high a good program will need to fill with some extra fuel.
