Ah yeah, AHM..
Let me put it this way, Adie knows how to make an engine a hell of a lot better than he knows how to make a website and market a company! Adie - if you are reading this please don't be offended, it is most definitely a compliment

Aye, their 3.8 is good for 420bhp - Normally Aspirated too!
AutoDelta resort to a supercharger for that sort of power, not that there's anything wrong with an Autodelta 3.7 Super of course!

Yep, AH definitely seems very good, would be nice to have some more detailed info on their offerings. They have been discussed several times before on AO though, search and you will find it.

You talking about your throttle bodies and aftermarket ECU John? I know the GTA is unstressed as it is.

Yes Peter, thats what i was hinting at. Reprofiled cams, throttle bodies and ecu. Maybe up the compression a touch too. Much more and you start needing the fancy internals. All diy of course!!

Re: 3.8L GTA.... No problem for these guys
I have an 3750 big bore in my car. Is made by Glenwood motors.
I know also that Autodelta and Glenwood have strong relationship and use some common technical solutions.
Also Glenwood is producing a lot of parts for AHM for big bore engines and multi throttle engines.

Re: 3.8L GTA.... No problem for these guys
I thought AHM's parts came from different suppliers. Pistons aren't Ross, liners are not the truck ones, not sure on the rods but i don't think they are Pauter. The throttle body kits are direct from Jenvey.

Re: 3.8L GTA.... No problem for these guys
Speak To Dawie at Glenwood motors. He sells a kit which is very economic and uses high quality parts. He also has much experience with the arese V6. Only problem is you must have a genuine engineer to do the engine mods as a slight error can cause big problems. Many engine guys take short cuts that can be very expensive and annoying to rectify.

Re: 3.8L GTA.... No problem for these guys
Hi guys,
I've just been reading your comments on the 3.8 conversion.
Well, Dawie de Villiers of Glenwood Motors recently built a 3.8 full race engine for our Alfa 156 project car. It is the same spec engine that he built for one guy in the UK and the other from the USA. Both these guys fitted these engines to their 75's. It pushes out the same sort of power that AH Motorsport claims (425BHP). We built this car purely to take on the likes of the new BMW M3 V8, Audi RS4, Mercedes SLK55, E55 and CLK63.

You can only call yourself a true petrolhead when you've owned an Alfa Romeo - Jeremy Clarkson

You're right, rods are Arrow (says on the site)

Re: 3.8L GTA.... No problem for these guys
Ones you have the measurements you can order piston and rods on any brand you like.
I know that Glenwood used Ross and Pauter for my engine, but can use Wossner , Mahle or Arrows upon request.
These are some photos from the Glenwood own production of the Throttle bodies.
