Their website doesn't list Alfa Romeo.... where can you get them?

Not sure, I stumbled across the video on the tube when looking at videos for Maser and Ferrari exhausts.
By the way they are very very expensive - I heard over £6k for a Ferrari!

Its perfect isn't it!
And the only company to make a Ferrari 360/430 sound any good (IMHO).
Anyone do them in the UK?

Absolutely perfect sound.. I wonder if that's a full exhaust, everything including manifolds, the whole she-bang so to speak?
I'd be interested if it was just a back box, or maybe just a cat-back system.. But I'd be doubtful that you could get a noise like that without changing everything..
On the other hand, that Unicorse video I posted up is backbox alone..

Re: Nicest sounding 3.2 I have heard.
Where can i buy this exhaust, they have a jap website that lists 147 GTA, but the link does'nt work and the yank website, of course has not got Alfa Romeo as an option.
I watched the other videos posted by krismaster or something and my goodness those exhausts are wicked!! i love the valve tronic f1 exhausts and would love that on my GTA....

JUST A BACKBOX!!! - My god thats unbeliveable! It must have no baffles in the rear silencer at all - Sounds pure porn, the first one sounds just as good but I've had ver loud exhausts before and although great for scaring small children and old people on a long run they can become had work.
I've had a cat back straight through setup with a can either side which was very open in design with hardly any baffles around 3.5" in size and that sounded like a turbocharger had been fitted but was a pain on a motorway, and my current car has a 4-1, sports cat, straight through centre to a GroupN style back box and is raspy as hell but again when i want to talk to the missis in the car we have to shout at each other, getting the right balance between great sounds up through the rev range and living with it say on a motorway run and passanger friendly is very very hard

What set up are you using? Are you still using the manifolds and down pipes through a single cat from the 2.5?

Re: Nicest sounding 3.2 I have heard.
Manifolds and front pipe from a 2.5, scilenced decat, a cybox system and a GTA K&N 57i filter

What manifolds did you go for? and what does the back box look like? single or twins

The manifolds are bog standard 2.5 V6 manifolds. The manifolds for the GTA have cat converters inside them so would be a little bit more restrictive.

Re: Nicest sounding 3.2 I have heard.
There is the same kind of setups with the two sporty saxos, as I found out when tuning my VTS
The 8v VTR had the cat under the car in early models but when the model was updated and facelifted they moved the cat from under the car into the manifold itself which slightly lowered the power and meant if you wanted a 4-2-1 or 4-1 sports manifold you had to run without the cat which was fine for power increases but meant you had to replace the manifold for MoT time.
Lucky the 16v VTS had the cat under the car from start to finish so it wasn't a problem.

Re: Nicest sounding 3.2 I have heard.
There's actually 4 cats in a Alfa GTA (1 in the manifold for each bank of cylinders, and 2 under the car) but only one cat in a vintage 2.5 V6..

Re: Nicest sounding 3.2 I have heard.
So what kinda power difference are we talking about between the 2.5 and the 3.2?
Do the the exhaust from left to right come togther and then split again at the rear or is it two complete systems? I've never seen this setup away from big block American cars from the 70's.

Re: Nicest sounding 3.2 I have heard.
I've attached a diagram to show the differences between the two systems (as I have interpreted the tech drawings)..
Red boxes are cat converters, the top diagram is the 2.5 V6 exhaust system, the bottom diagram is the one for the 3.2 V6 (GTA) system.
Chris is running a 3.2 engine with a modified 2.5 exhaust system, I'm running a 3.0 with a modified 2.5 exhaust system..

Re: Nicest sounding 3.2 I have heard.
No cats for me, just two straight through silencers. One for each bank of cylinders
Oh, And some earplugs
