It's one of the reasons I'm going to go for the FSDs when I do mine, maintain some comfort and I haven't heard a bad thing said about them.
MAybe it's an age thing too, I am appraoching my mid 30s after all, i'll be buying a Brera next

Re: Eibach & Koni upgrades bought!
ive no idea how to adjust them, but will find out so i can change things if need be. are the springs likely to be a factor in the harshness/stiffness? if they ar, i do have a set of eibach lowering springs i could use instead of the koni supplied ones.

As I understand it, Springs decrease ride height and assist negating body roll along with the ARBs, struts or dampers absorb the energy that is produced when the spring is compressing or extending, the less travel a damper has to do the work in the more energy is transferred to the chassis. On a busy surface I think this translates into a very skittish and jumpy ride.
The dampers are adjusted from the bottom of the strut, you screw the damper in thus compressing the spring and reducing the suspensions travel and lowering the ride height which also lowers the center of gravity.
Don't forget that your tyres are also part of the total damping and energy absorption ratio, suspension & ride tuning is very much trial and error because you have no idea if what your going to get your going to like.
It's one of the reasons I'm taking small bites at a time, rather than just stick everything on. That way I get to see the accumulative benefits and can tailor the next step with a more educated guess.

Re: Eibach & Koni upgrades bought!
KONI Sport dampers (yellow) are adjustable for 'rebound' (as opposed to the 'stroke' as well). the adjustment is via a little tab at the TOP of the dampers, using the supplied plastic knob/key. at the 'softest' setting, they will be like the original dampers, though better control. they have about 2.5 'full turns' of adjustment, but you may only use up to around half a turn to attain the comfort/performance you want. basically, adjust them until the car no long 'bounces' over a series of undulations. they come into their own at higher speeds, and not really for tiny ridges/bumps; more the highway undulations.
i recommend starting with say a quarter turn, and work from there, and maybe only readjust after a week or so or when you can easily detect it's too much or too little. then do another quarter turn; shouldn't be necessary to do much more than that at a time.
i've not changed ARBs before. they will certainly impact on comfort though if they are significantly thicker (2mm thicker is enough for a noticable effect; other factors like the actual metal and length of the 'arms' also affect overall stiffness). if you don't like them, just change them back. i think the standard ones are ok (i kept them standard when i had a 156, but used KONI dampers and Eibach springs).

Re: Eibach & Koni upgrades bought!
cheers for the input there, may leave the dampers at their softest setting until theyve bedded in and settled to the actual ride height before playing around.

Re: Eibach & Koni upgrades bought!
Great choice of dampers!
I had the Koni adjustable dampers on my previous car (Saab 9-3 Aero). They give perfect balance between everyday driving and trackday/sporty driving. I really enjoyed having the option between sportiness and comfort. The comfort option really helps keeping the missus happy.
Maybe I should upgrade the gta as well.

Re: Eibach & Koni upgrades bought!
Try taking a measurement between the centre of the wheel and the highest point of the arch on each wheel before and after.. You might get different amounts of lowering front and rear but it should settle after a few hundred miles driving.

Re: Eibach & Koni upgrades bought!
the koni kit is very good, I run mine mid way between soft and hard.
i have 17" rim with road (legal) slicks, its not a motorway cruiser, but you can corner at suicidal speeds in the dry, and its just pure suicide in the wet thanks to the near slick tyres.
There really noisy too, because of the cuts in the tyres, but if you want to track day the car, then worth while.
The Q2 LSD is a great mod also

Re: Eibach & Koni upgrades bought!
got the anti roll bar kit myself only got the rear one on at the moment but what a big differance it makes to the car ,will get justin at bmc to fit the front 1 as i have not got the time,u will be impresed ,i got the fk ciolovers on mine have yet to try them properly yet ,but they feel a lot smoother than the novitec springs ive just taken off,the car handled good with those on but to firm a ride, from what ive heard the konis are ok,but u can never tell till u fitt them ,r u going to fitt them your self? its not a bad job, just need lots of wd40 on the rear bolts, but its rewarding doing it your self and u know its done properly, good luck let us know what u think of them,i also have a q2 whitch is supurb a must.

Re: Eibach & Koni upgrades bought!
all done now, so much better to drive. no knocks/bangs/creaks etc, and the car feels like it actually wants to turn, rather than being forced to, with some wobble.
