Saying that I've taken so long to get round to contacting him he'll probably tell me to feck off now !!

Brakes are a deffo upgrade for me first though as I had a couple of brake fade moments on 'spirited' drives !!

Not only do Autodelta do a great job (on all their cars) but Jano takes every car he works on very personally, and has a lot of pride in the quality of his work.

Re: Boosting the Brera...Japan.

Hey Slim-san, would you be able to describe the process n basic terms from start to finish of how you went about being able to get the Autodelta J5 kit massaged onto your beauty...BTW, I checked out all of your pics mate and WOW, you have had quite a collection I must say a swell as your friends of course.

Re: Boosting the Brera...Japan.

I have just sent Jano a quick email to firstly get some basic info I hope.

See what happens, but I really want as much info as I can to help me prepare for the cost and knowledge of how it will happen, where and in what way...20 questions

Re: Boosting the Brera...Japan.

I did speak to Jano a while ago and he said, he'd have to fly over one of his engineers which TBH, I didn't like one bit for several reasons: cost, lack of AD facilities with this guy and generally the fact a young English male may be easily tempted away from working on a car by the local beauties

Re: Boosting the Brera...Japan.

Yeah I did get some basic info from Jano, but not:
1) how long will the installation take
2) what parts come with the J5 kit besides the supercharger unit
3) Can I have some partial control over where the engineer stays and what he does during his stay (no parties and sleeping with the local J-Girls until AFTER the job, then he is on his OWN wallet)
4)Where would the inistallation take place, ie. a local certified alfa dealer...?
5) where would the parts be arriving...see Q4)
6) how much would the complete job be (basic quote including accomodation and travel for the engineer) because Japan is VERY expensive and I am not paying for some young arrogant **** to go spending my money and time for his entertainment...I can help him do that where I can control the cash cow - because I am not one of those.

Questions like this...

If you have some asnwers, just pm me or give them to slim and he can email me the info if its not to be posted openly though.

I was kind of expecting a PDF brochure with full details...and not just an email on a whim though, but lets see what happens. Its not everyday I invite a emchanic from another country to work on my car though, so I guess I want to make the best of it.

Anyway..after the job, ill show the engineer a party or two that he wont soon forget, he he he (IF, he turns out to be a pro mech)

Re: Boosting the Brera...Japan.

Ha ha ha...yeah, I do agree with you there Nomad. The stock parts ie, exhaust system is far below any performance piece and I really dilike the plastic and rubber excelleration/ brake and clutch peddles. The metal option is the only way to go there, but you would think that they would have this ware as standard fare...or, maybe they were trying to save weight, he he he

Re: Boosting the Brera...Japan.

Hi Big foot,
P.A.R.T.Y...any time!!!! Without sounding too personal and if you dont wish to post publicly thats ok, but I was wondering, which part of Tokyo are you in currently...?

I lived in Ebisu gardens Palace for 2 years and thought it was very convenient...although terrible for MTB's AND driving. Yeah you are already in Japan...I keep forgetting this. What is your recommendation on this subject...? BTW, I tried to get GTCharlies info, but I never had the time to check it out. Do you have his info so I can get in touch with...? Parade my 20 questions infront of him so I can get some answers, comparisons and locations etc etc.
Thanks mate.

Remember though, Jano will customise his work to your personal taste and requirement... e.g. I didn't want an internal exhaust noise too loud, but liked a slight wine from the supercharger to be heard. He also fitted the SatNav for me, making a brand new blanking pate especially for the unit to fit in!

Autodelta, and especially Jano, are nothing but professional. Any costs are agreed in advance.

You would have to ask Jano, but when he has travelled to, for example, Dubai, a garage space was rented.

Ask Jano, but he will require your exact requirements first.

What Jano lacks in marketing himself, he more than makes up for in expertise, experience and skill. Plus a large amount of pride in every job.

Simple. I bought a Brera, drove it to Autodelta, and picked it up 2 weeks later! After 1000 miles of driving under 4000rpm, I went back for a tweak and adjusted to full boost. You can't slap a supercharger onto a 3.2 V6 and not bed it in a little first

Re: Boosting the Brera...Japan.

You're very fortunate to be able to simple drive there Slim. Envy would not quite spittle forth from my lips...but it would come close.

Well, we have already decided to go for the whole J5 kit. But organizing it seems to be slow paced. I have the money and the car...now I need the expertise to play and role the dice with some discussion over such details that you mentioned Slim...I pay, they play.

But I have owned a supercharged car before, which was the 928 series and having that work done really was uncomplicated to organize infact.

So I have already asked Jano-san if he can give me some more info about the details...ie, what, where, when, how much; and I am awaiting his reply.

I will see what happens after.

I terms of the kit (hence its name, "J5 KIT") I knew some things would be coming with it besides the supercharger of course, but to have the man himself say, " this is what IS in the kit", makes it official in terms of any yearly changes, upgrades etc etc...

Again, thanks Slim for your effort...now my next question is when are you going to be sending me an airplane ticket so that I can come down there and show you how to drive that purdy new car of yours, he he he
