Re: GT remap

Angel are in Leamington. Power at about 185bhp is reckoned to be optimal in terms of smoke and clutch life. Can screw up your fuel computer though. Red Dot offer a similar service and give dizzy to paid up AOers

Re: GT remap

Angel, Celtic or Red Dot. They're your main 3 for remapping.

In the words of Obi Wan ... Use the search Luuuuke.

I think there is also a remapper based in Bromsgrove.

Personally I only used Angel and had 4 cars remapped with them including a 1.8 petrol 156 and my current GT JTD. The other 2 were the wife's car, a sharan TDI and a volvo XC 90 D5.

Cheers

Re: GT remap

The only thing I have noticed since my remap is that occasionally my temp indicators loose brightness....

But not sure if that was always there...but all I do is drop the dimmer down to 0 and then back up again and that sorts it.

A small price to pay for having a shockingly fast car....

Don't think thats anything to do with the remap at all, just coincidence that you only noticed it since the remap, IMO..

Re: GT remap

You should also consider a Steinbauer P-Box which is a stand alone item. I've just had this fitted to mine and the results are very encouraging 185BHP, up from 150 BHp, and 366 Nm more torque, up from 320Nm.

The good thing about this kit is that it can fitted or removed in 15 minutes flat by the owner.

I intend to write full report on the Steinbauer P-Box for AO shortly, so might be worth waiting. However, if you can't wait check-out Audi forums, they've been raving about Steinbauer for ages.

Oh and Steinbauer give an unconditional guarantee against damage.

The P-Box is available from Ned at Autolusso (he'll fit it, too if you prefer) and Ao members get a discount.

Look forward to hearing from you-bringing the car over to the UK isn't really a great option for me as the boat trip adds quite a bit to the cost of getting the work done.
