Re: witch diff Q2 OR AUTO LOCK

I am not an expert but -

Q2 is specifically for a car, where as I think the other one is for tractors and trucks..

147 GTA Q2

Re: witch diff Q2 OR AUTO LOCK

now then, pabloss, when i was chattin to justin at bmc on the phone the other day, he told me about the Q2 and auto lock (both from Alfa), and i got the impression at the time that the AutoLock was a variant of the Q2, like theres 2 types of the Q2 (e.g. Q2 & Q2 autolock) with £15 difference (i think), but this is just the impression i got at the time and with me not really having a memory, i might have chinese whispered myself. I dont think what ive said really helps u tho, sorry, just clearing a bit of confusion. Or creating it, lol.

Re: witch diff Q2 OR AUTO LOCK

I have never heard of the Auto Lock, but anyway are they actually anything different or perhaps just different names for the same thing?

The Q2 diff is a Torsen "self-locking" differential.
In some languages I think self-locking is translated as auto-locking.

Cheers,
TB

Thats right, even in English 'auto' and 'self' can have the same meaning. Eg 'Autobiography = self-biography'
