Why do you want wider wheels on the rear? Doesn't seem to make sense on a front-wheel-drive car..

I think Autodelta have fitted 19"s to a 147 GTAm.. Not sure how your suspension will cope though, what wheels are they? You will probably have to buy lightweight wheels, Oz Superleggeras are pretty good or so I've heard.

On a FWD car, why on earth do you want wider rims on the rear?

8" wid is about the limit without drastically altering the offset.

10" wide? Not a hope in hell IMHO..

10" might be possible in the rear, but again, you seriously have to ask 'why'.

with the appropriate offset, it could be do-able, but if you can't find exact details, then you'd want a wheel store that is prepared to change them for you if they don't fit.

i still think 10" would be really pushing it.

i have 8.5 x 19" wheels on my GT, front and rear. they fit without any probs and without modification. offset is +35mm. tyres 225/35.

Re: Alfa 147 ( !9" Wheels )

easiest to refer to other sites.

Offset & - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tire Factory

google is your friend.

i forgot to add earlier, that choice of wheel will also be limited by whether they can clear the Brembo calipers on the front (on GTA, V6 GT, V6 GTV, etc). you need a lot of clearance behind there, so even if the offset is appropriate, the back of the spokes may hit the caliper. i believe the wheel guys refer to this as 'X factor' or you may read about suitable wheels as having 'high disk'.

when searching for wheels, i found there wasn't much around that would fit straight on, particularly because of the Brembo's. though i'm unsure whether the 305mm versions are less of an issue compared with 330mm brakes.

GT . 3.2L V6 . Q2 . Kyalami Black - Red . Eibach . KONI . ATP 19" . TOYO . Mille Miglia exhaust

I had clearance issues when I fitted 7x17 GTA alloys on mine intially, the inside of the rear rims were rubbing on the trailing arm, hence my scepticism.

Re: Alfa 147 ( !9" Wheels )

are there differences between GT, 147GTA, and 156GTA in terms of wheel arch/splash guard clearance? i figure they're all the same, but could be some minor differences.

so, note that my car is a GT, and not a 147GTA in question.
