How often for a oil change on m y 156selespeed 2003

I have had my ***** 12 months now and i was just wondering how often should i do a oil change?i know it was done 3 months before i brought it.Regards Dean..

12 months is too long to have the same oil in the engine - change it quick!!
I have a friend who worked for Castrol for many years. He always changed the oil in his own cars at 3000 miles, or 3 months. His comment concerning 12000 mile service intervals was '.... we can't make an oil that will last 12000 miles without deterioration - and if we can't, nobody else can!'

i used to change the oil on my 147 sele every 6 months / 6000 miles and even at this was finding it was in a pretty crappy state every time!

if its been in for 15 months+ then you really do need to get it changed asap. i would also recommend getting the engine flushed to ensure any broken down oil is removed

Sounds good advice Spon.: Ran a couple of 'Dinkies' a few years back, each and every day. His an' hers like! Her's, Panda 903cc. mine Uno, same motor. Both clocked well over 100,000, oil changed at 3,000 filter at 6,000. Stripped them both at about 80,000 no real wear evident other than camshaft lobes. The more frequently the better!

At the very latest your oil should have been changed 3-months ago...
