Hmmm Re-mapping and all that malarky

Autodelta or Angel? Who would you go for? Your experiences of either company would be very useful. I'm thinking of map, air intake and full exhaust

...or indeed another company that I haven't even considered

Re: Re-mapping and all that malarky

I've had an Angel remap for a good few months now and I couldn't be happier, had a couple of issues with a turbo pressure spike - whether it was the car or the map, we don't know but Angel were spot on about coming back and sorting it without asking questions. Aftersales and customer service, couldn't be happier.

+ lots of bhp, + lots of torques + a bit of extra fuel economy = I love it!

But then comparing my diesel remap with a 2.0 TS engine is like comparing chalk and cheese.

There's always Celtic and Red Dot, they're all as good as each other by the sounds of it, plenty of happy cutomers from all 3 if you have a poke about on the forums. Not heard a lot about Autodelta maps.

The mechanic I use doesn't think that a re-map on a TS would be a good idea....but reading on here averyone who's had it done seems very happy

both use prewritten red.dot maps unless you want a custom map, so only the price is different, nothing else. autodelta charge £200, angel charge £250, so i would go for autodelta. almost everyone in the uk use red.dot maps, as do most of the map sellers on ebay (but often an outdated library).

Chris
Very true.

Suppose if you factor the petrol cost into the map it still might be cheaper?

I believe it is so - and if you phoned round they should readily admit this...although many have tinkered and fine tuned red dot maps...to be somewhat there own creation....but I am sure most use the templates created by Red Dot....

Re: Re-mapping and all that malarky

Nigel from Angel just called back and it sounds a very good deal. Autodelta not so as I have to take it down there for starters and they are out of stock of the exhaust I want etc. Angel it is!

Thanks for the advice etc everyone
