Tinting / Rear lights

Hey everyone.

Just wondering what you think of these ideas for improving/adding some unique styling to my 147.

I know it already looks brilliant and is not too common (round here nayway) but I like to put my own style/stamp on a car.

I am thinking bout:

1) tinting the windows in dark/light smoke

2) changing the rear lights to black 'lexus' lights

3) lowering the suspensing 30 or 40mm but keeping standard dampers.

Your thoughts suggestions would be much appreciated.

Tar

Re: Tinting / Rear lights

The tinted windows do look good on silver cars, as I have them on my 156. Suspension drops have to be done carefully otherwise you risk damage to the sump.

As for the Lexus lights, they are ok on a lexus, but are chavtastic on an Alfa.

I suppose ypou could tint the original lights to make them darker which wouldn't be quite as bad, but still not my thing.

Re: Tinting / Rear lights

A window tint and dropping it will make for a really nice car I reckon.

The rear lights are a bit of a minefield though. Ive not seen any nice aftermarket lexus lights (for any car) but if you really want to tint them then definatly go with a light smoke on the originals. Ive just done this on my seat and just gave them two coats of the spray so that you can still make out the colours in daylight. Its a very subjective thing though and it doesnt suit ever car (would never do it on the 33).

The good thing is that the spray costs about £10 and comes off with thinners so why not try it, see if you like it and if not, just wipe the lenses down with thinners and nobody will be any wiser.
