Re: Adjust strut brace

a front strutbrace will do just that... by stiffening the front of the car (by higher tyre pressure, harder springs/shocks/ARBS or stiffening the chassis) you promote understeer.

if you wanted to reduce understeer, you could try widening the track in the front, lowering the front, reduce the tyre pressure (to a point, obviously), or apply the changes from the first paragraph to the rear....

Re: Adjust strut brace

According to Wikipedia the benefits of a strut brace are:

Performance: Resulting from the improved chassis rigidity (similar to that gained from a lower tie bar); may be improved steering precision under high load conditions (cornering and braking). Reduced understeer, tire wear and metal fatigue in the strut tower area may also be experienced.

Have you expanded or contracted the strutbrace when tensioning it? I think you are meant to expand it. If you have contracted it you are not going to get the load spread but will in fact be pulling the strut towers towards each other... if you could tighten it that hard : )

Depending where you bought it from, a quick ring to them to see if they have advice on how to adjust it?
