I have the Squadra kit on my car and although not a huge difference it certainly makes a worthwhile improvement - increased low down torque and top end power. Throttle response is improved and increase in induction roar.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the results

Re: Squadra tuning - yes or no

I dunno about the 2.5..but the squadra intake runners kit gave an instant +10 bhp on a 164 3.0 as it brought it up to cloverleaf spec.

So that is the order of improvment, plus some torque. You could squadra chip it as well, but i've no idea what real gains you would see from that. They do have some graphs on their site..but exactly how meaningful they are I don't know.

Re: Squadra tuning - yes or no

Around £200 will get you 15BHP from a remap. Plus you will iron out any flat spots..

If you have 500 euro to spend then I'd spend it on an Eibach suspension kit first, then uprated brake pads before moving onto the engine.

Re: Squadra tuning - yes or no

What Pascs said, the 156 is most limited by its suspension and braking not lack of power.

However, if your 2.5 is going to be a motorway cruiser and handling is less of an issue, get the 3.0 intake runners (Chris 155 is selling some on here: http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/parts...nd-plates.html (3.0 / 3.2 Intake Runners and plates) ), a decent filter system (I use and thoroughly recommend BMC's carbon dynamic airbox) and then take it to Red Dot for a custom remap.
