Re: What Supercharger? T.Spark

Dont know of anyone with a supercharged GTV, but would also be very interested to hear from anyone who has.Looked at the price of Turbo charging but at over 5K from Autodelta I dont think so

I am sure some will say buy the V6 it's cheaper.

Re: What Supercharger? T.Spark

I was looking at the Autodelta turbo conversion a few weeks ago. Went for a visit and I got the impression that they prefer to fit superchargers to the GTV/Spider now, rather than their turbos. This is based on reliability issues from the turbos they've fitted over the years, and that the price of superchargers has come down enough for them to be a more reliable/cost effective alternative to a Turbo.

I'm not sure what surpercharger they use though. Give them a call, I'm sure they'll tell ya.

I've decided against both now, as just too expensive for me. I've gone for a filter/re-map instead.

Hi Kav,

Autodelta supercharged my 156 2.0 JTS 18 months ago. they used the Rotrex charger. I have to say, the car is fantastic, the delivery of power is so smooth, and there is no lag at all, which is what you tend to have with turbos.
if you do it, you wont regret it

Re: What Supercharger? T.Spark

I have checked my documenation and it says C30-74.
Since i am so happy with the transformation of my car, I am happy for you to take a look. i work near heathrow if you are ever interested, let me know.

For the 4K+ spent, I got 6000 miles 6 month full warranty plus a 2 year warranty on the charger unit itself from Rotrex. I feel it is money well spent, if you want to keep the car for the long term.
and anyway the 0-60 in 6.5 seconds keeps me smiliing every day

Re: What Supercharger? T.Spark

Hi Kav,

No worries at all...anytime, just let me know when you want to meet up.
The output is 220BHP 6600 rpm and the torque is about 192ftlb at 3400rpm.

Dont be baffled by the figures though, you can come drive my round the block and you will see how good it is.

Cheers...K
