Munro Suspension

Now i know there are numerous threads on suspension upgrades, but I have yet to come across these. Has any1 heard of them or ever had them fitted? Were a good bit cheaper than Koni's (especially FSD's) but wondering would they be good enough. Aluminium undercover guard gone on but upgraded shocks needed also now, sports springs are low enough. Dont wanna hear or feel bottoming out ever again....

Re: Munro Suspension

Hmmm, seems the guy who told me about it (a garage) mis-spelled the name. Should be Monroe it seems, and appear to be common stock parts used.... Back to Koni's or Bilsteins. Thats what I have in my head for now anyways.

Re: Munro Suspension

hi,
yes monroe are just std oem type stuff.
Koni`s are very good for the price (generally speaking) and are plenty good enough for road use.and bilstiens reputation preceeds them !

Re: Munro Suspension

If you can afford it, get Blisteins.

Re: Munro Suspension

I had a pair of Monroes on the rear of my track car 33, and tried them back to back with Konis on the track.

The Monroes are a perfectly good substitute for a standard shock, but the Konis made the car a lot more controllable over fast bumps, and are certainly worth paying a bit more for if you value performance.

If performance isn't critical, the Monroes are fine on the road for most non-alfa drivers. For those with "Cuore Sportivo" syndrome then the Koni or Bilstein options would certainly be preferable.

Cheers
