156 rear braces

right, got an idea in my head after seeing an audio thread somewhere.

would it be possible to fit a C pillar brace somewhere along the parcel shelf area in the 156, and fit to C pillars and metal shelf area?

also, ive asked in another sub-forum, but does anyone have any pics of the rear strut tops on a 156? might see if i can get a custom rear brace that attaches to the struts themselves, rather than the strut tower.

Re: 156 rear braces

yeah, and ive bought one, but not fitted yet. the problem is, that one fits to the towers, not the struts themselves, and im sure theres mention on here that to be effective, it would need to mount to the strut top.

i have a fabricator friend who has made custom rear braces for 2 of my old cars, one to mount to the strut on one car, and one a replica of the cougar ST prototype brace, in an X shape across the towers, and attaching to the boot floor.

i want to ask him if he can do one or both for the alfa 156. if so, he could probably do them easily for the 147, 155, whatever.

Yep, OMP do the rear one.

Can't see it doing much on a normal road 156 saloon though.
