Re: Review of Performance Friction pads (with Telemetry)

ATE Blue is supposed to be good.

I dont think SRF goes off *that* quickly, from my limited use in racing FIAT Unos, but also more experienced folk used it for years racing and had no complaints. Generally 1L did the season for the Unos.

I dont use it for my road car though, I haven't got the stuff I am using (Tutella Extreme 5) to fade yet even with type-R tyres, and DS3000 pads. I change it every 5 trackdays or so.

£50/L for SRF...!! ... are you sure you want to use it?

Probably better off using something else and changing it more often.

The PF pads on Clare's GT got a hammering on the many mountain pass roads we traversed on our Euro Trip

They refuse to fade (although they do "smell" hot) and the dust comes off easily if you wax your wheels every now & again.

They are amazing things & a must have upgrade is you have the 330mm Brembo set up

Here we go, good news at last for all those with 305mm Brembo calipers

Performance Friction pads in Z-rated compound available for the 305mm Brembo set up as on the early 156/147 GTA and GTV 3.0

I have been talking to my supplier in America and after some persuasion we got the manufacture to make a limited run of these pads and it the take up is good they will add it to the range. We have had to have 50 sets specially made and they will be available from us in the next couple of weeks

The best brake pads money can buy just got better

Ned

Are they the full 17.5mm thick version, or the thinner 15mm thick version (ie F360)?
Obviously a 15mm version would fit everything that used the small Brembo caliper, which when you look into it is a lot or cars. A 17.5mm version would limit usage and therefor saleability too.

Good question, I want to use these pads in my calipers when my current PF race pads wear out, but my F360 calipers take 15mm thick pads only.

3.2 Q4 Brera

Had these fitted at the last track day and they were superb! ON the road when cold i used to get small squeal on pullup to stationary but even that gone now they seem to be bedded in properly. But I can, twice now, due to idiots in font of me doing stupid things say these pads have saved my bumper at least twice on the road. Without these i woudl have hit the porca and the mad housewife driven BMW x5 who slammed on her brakes so she coudl argue with her kids in the back. Would have hit both i feel if it wasnt for these pads.
