Ned, do you offer the PF pads for the standard 156 brakes (2.5 V6)?

Re: Review of Performance Friction pads (with Telemetry)
I can help, I gave a set to Trailbraker to review as we supply and fit them, they won’t however fit a Selespeed unless you upgrade the brake callipers

Re: Review of Performance Friction pads (with Telemetry)
Is it fairly simple to upgrade the selespeed with the GTA brakes?
I was thinking of looking for a crashed GT 3.2 or GTA and removing the neccessary....
What would be needed?

Re: Review of Performance Friction pads (with Telemetry)
Its not fairly simple, its a serious job as the GTA brakes do not mount onto the cars standard uprights. You would need to strip down your suspension, remove the shocks and springs, fit these to the suspension uprights from a GTA/GT3.2, then put your old hubs back on them, which means a new set of wheel bearings, fit the brake mounting brackets from a GTA, mount the GTA calipers, fit new hoses, bleed brakes, new discs, new pads, bung it all back in the car. Massive job, not for the faint hearted and the suspension uprights are worth their weight in gold due to their expense and rarity.
Cheaper to buy and fit a bolt-on big brake kit, from AP, Tarox, Brembo, K-Sport, D2 etc.

Re: Review of Performance Friction pads (with Telemetry)
As Pud says, not a simple job.
But you don't strip the springs or dampers.
The suspension upright is completely separate.

Sorry, my mistake, just looked on ePer at the set-up and there's two struts, the hub-carrying one and the one the shock and spring fit to.

Re: Review of Performance Friction pads (with Telemetry)
That is the correct part number (1001.11) I like the Castrol SRF fluid but it is expensive. As for braided hoses, they are good and give a really positive peddle but over the years you must keep an eye on the condition as they can fray and burst the rubber pipe inside.
Go with standard discs on the front and standard discs and pads on the rear and you will be very please with the set up. Good luck with it

Expensive is an understatement.
It is stupidly expensive and in most cases not needed, even for racing.

Re: Review of Performance Friction pads (with Telemetry)
I find the feel from braided hoses really helps, braking is all about feel.
I guess just ensure during servicing that the condition is checked.
Selenia TUTELA Extreme 5 is very good stuff.
The GTA doesn't need all that much brake fluid as I recall so its not really a big expense in the great scheme of things.

Re: Review of Performance Friction pads (with Telemetry)
So, next question, do the PF pads fit the aftermarket brembos? As it seems they are probably the best pads available for fast road/track day use.
Secondly, as the brembos are a bit overkill for a sele, what are the options in the states for PF pads? I'm sure they make them for other cars, and with the way things are these days, with generic parts being shared by several manufacturers, it would probably be possible to find pads to fit lesser Alfa's.
I'd better hit Google

I've been thinking of using it. I've heard conflicting information about how long it takes to go off....
Also, as I'd change the fluid in the clutch system as well as the brakes, does anyone know how much fluid is needed for a whole system change?

The std pad shape isn't used by anyone outside of the Fiat group.
As for the aftermarket Brembos, they are usually the same pad shape as the 305 GTA pads, but only 15mm thick. Ferrari 360 fitment.
I'm sure PF make a pad to fit a std Ferrari 360.

I went to ATE Blue last year.
1L was more than enough for mine, but I obviously don't have a clutch circuit.
£50/L for SRF...!! ... are you sure you want to use it?
Probably better off using something else and changing it more often.

Re: Review of Performance Friction pads (with Telemetry)
Hi everyone, just got my pf pads delivered to me here in aus, I opened the box part no 1001.11, just 4 pads, no shims, packets of copper grease or anything else were inside, is this correct ?
also what is the proper bedding in procedure ? I am changing the front discs, and the rear discs for new standard ones 330mm on the front, and standard new pads on the back, braided hoses and AP racing dot5.1 fluid . . .
is there anything special i need to do to bed in the pf pads ? I have never done this before, any advice greatly appreciated .

The shims will already be on the pads, they look like a piece of aluminium stuck to the back. You will need copper grease.
As for bedding in, don’t worry too much just get out there and use them.
Bleeding the brake fluid can be interesting
