New Quaife ATB diff for Twn Spark gearboxes?

Alfa Romeo 145/146/147 Quaife ATB Differential - Quaife Engineering

I'm pretty sure that this entry was not there last time I checked, a couple of months ago. The price is not bad either and I expect it to fit to 156s as well.

I'd be up for a group buy again, I'm sure we could get things a lot cheaper...

I won't organize the group buy, 21% VAT here, so there's already a good % saved in buying in the uk...

how much VAT is added in Greece?

VAT in Greece is 19%. Hardly worth the trouble but if we can somehow combine our orders we could achieve a better discount.

About 5 people in our club have shown some interest in buying ATBs but the price of about €1000 (incl. VAT) without fitting seems too high when the Q2 for the V6 owners costs about €400 and fitting is also quite cheaper for them because you don't need to unmount and take apart the gearbox as is the case with TS gearboxes.

Personally I would prefer buying an ATB for my soon-to-be-16V Sud, but I think that it would be a lot more expensive since it's POA. An email wouldn't hurt though.

Re: New Quaife ATB diff for Twn Spark gearboxes?

It isn't a new item but until early last year Quaife only listed that p/n for Fiat Tipo.
They then started listing it for TS 156/147.
I now see they have gone OTT and listed it seperatly with the same p/n for GT, GTV, Spider too.
Very confusing because they make no mention of engine types or gearboxes in their listing. i.e they list it for a GTV, but will only fit the TS/JTS GTV, not the V6.

Re a Quaife LSD for your Sud, It is very unlikely that you will get one from Quaife. You can try, but I think I know what they will tell you...

So do I David. "We'll need an order of at least XX items in order to change our production line to accomodate your order" or something like that.

I think they will also tell you to contact the people that originally ordered the first Sud Quaife diff to order it via them.

That would be the Danish Alfa Owners' Club then. AFAIK there aren't any diffs left out of cars from that order. Spiros Agathaggelidis has one that was fitted to his ill-fated yellow Sud, I guess I can always try to beg him to sell it to me.

No, the people the Danish club ordered them from.
The Danish club didn't get them direct from Quaife.

Re: New Quaife ATB diff for Twn Spark gearboxes?

if anybody is seriously looking for one of these there is a group buy going ahead soon , 12 people are confirmed and could be 18 once the discount is confirmed , so if you were intending getting one soon then here is a chance of getting it cheap

the product
quick description
how they affect suspension
detailed descriptions of how they all types of diffs work
