Pulco's silly cable questions #2

what are these cables called? they're like a phone cable but have the small fitting on both ends (ie not as chunky as an ethernet cable)

been fannying about with the positioning of all the kit that goes with my new bt broadband/vision set up

It could be twin or single pair (you'll be able to see the cable in the ends) with rj11 ends usually used with modems.

They're for plugging your phone in.

Either to the ADSL filters (for your standard landline)
or your router/modem if you have VOiP.

the one i need is to connect the BT modem to the new socket box they've installed on the wall. filters no longer necessary with all the new kit apparently

think this is what i need?
