Speedo question

Hi Folks,
I have an S3 spider, 1987 vintage with the speedo in Km/h. I'm sure i've seen somewhere that you can get a sticker to overlay the original glass and convert to MP/h?? anyone have any idea's as this may save my licence???
regards,

Lee.

Re: Speedo question

I don't know of any overlays but a thought would be to install an MPH speedo. The cheapest option however is to simply multiply the KPH reading by 0.6 to arrive at MPH. The actual .621 conversion is a little tough to do in my head while driving though.

Re: Speedo question

Well, whats matters are speed limets, isn't it?

30 MPH = 50 km/h
40 MPH = 65 km/h
50 MPH = 80 km/h
55 MPH = 90 km/h
60 MPH = 100 km/h
70 MPH = 110 km/h

I know it's very little inaccurate, but so is the speedo.

Re: Speedo question

You could have one made up at your local vinyl graphics shop for a few dollars...

Re: Speedo question

Hi, don't know if this is still an issue, if so you can get a replacement speedo face in MPH from lombarda for about £20-25. this of course will not alter the "mileometer" which will still measure in kilometers.

Re: Speedo question

The speedo in my S3 is also in KPH it doesn't take long to get used to what the conversions are.
