Help Where is the lightswitch?

Help!
I just bought a 1975 Alfa Spider a few hours ago and I cant find where to turn the headlights on. It's getting dark and I am not yet ready to give up driving my new purchase for the night!

Re: Where is the lightswitch?

Hey Kiwi
There are 2 stalks on the steering column - small stalk is for indicators, as I am sure you have discovered. The second larger stalk controls headlights. ROTATE the knob on end of this stalk to first position to bring on the parking lights. Rotate one more position to bring headlights on. With stalk in the lower position, this brings on headlights. Moving the stalk upward brings on the main beams. Pushing inward at the end of the stalk should flash the headlights.
Enjoy !

Re: Where is the lightswitch?

As Garwood says for the lights.. The instrument lights are however turned on by one of the rocker switches on centre console beneath the gear lever. Dont know why they don't just turn on with the lights.
