New exhaust needed

I managed to squeak my leaky exhaust through the MOT with the help of Firegum and a few self tappers but I will need to replace the centre section pretty soon. The rear section was replaced recently by the PO but it isn't stainless.

I'd want to fit at least a stainless middle section if it will work with the standard manifold and regular steel rear section. Or is it worth going for a performance system - although I'll have to spend money on replacing the whole lot.

Any recommendations?

Was that a custom system, including headers/manifold? How much did it cost?
