Guages Change to Euro Specs

I have a 75 Spider with imperial guages for Oil Pressure & Water Temperature.
I would like to change these to the European guages in metric measurements.

Do I also have to change the sending units or will the existing surfice.
Are there any other issues I need to consider or is this just a dumb idea.

Ciao.

Re: Guages Change to Euro Specs

The Imperial and Metric gauges differ only in the face wording so they are interchangable. However, the senders are not interchangable between Jaeger and Veglia Borletti. If you have Jaeger gauges, hopefully you can get Jaeger replacements. But if only Veglias are available, you'll need to change the senders as well.

Re: Guages Change to Euro Specs

I know that Veglia Borletti Guages are still avaible "new" for fiat 500 Rally & Arbath models. But I don't know about Jaeger.

Is it possible to get 'New" Jaeger guages to suit the 105 Alfa's.

An instrument restorer could reprint the faces of your existing instruments as an alternative. Some of them have a remarkable range of graphics - e.g. Vintage Restorations here in the UK.
That way you'd get nicely serviced instruments with fresh faces - if of course that's what you want!
