Re: Berlina 2000

In the case of the 105 series Alfas that is no myth... the berlinas (collective term for all the saloons) definitely has the edge on the track.

Thought I saw your car at NAD! Glad you got home safely.
M62 was horrendous when I was on it!

Crazed Re: Berlina 2000

I tried to add pic's when i got back yesterday, but for some reason could not (doing the same as i've done before but not working, "upload failed" ). Tried again on this post and the same has happened. I've put some on the sedan section of the Alfa bb successfully in the "Berlina Fever" thread for now 'till I can figure this out....

I think we went passed you guys on the M62, near Mirfield we were in the Green 156GTA Wagon. I gave you a wave and I think you realized, but I was in a bit of a rush
Sorry we didn't get chance for a chat down at NAD, but I was with the family and was using up Brownie points very quickly by early afternoon, so we went before the rush started in earnest.

It seems we are getting a bit of a local 105 group going here, so we must all try and meet up.

I would love that, but driving my car overland to the UK would be a bit of a mission.... and which one would I use, the Bertie or the Spider

Re: Berlina 2000

Mr Green sir , seeing your motor getting out of glastonbury mud suprisingly looked awsome . your near side rear wheel was vertually horizontal , we gave it 11/10 and a huge cheer !!
Still working on posting pictures , also when ive time , ive some photos of alfas etc in italy , one of which is a giulietta in a prang by the side of the road back in the eighties and another with a volvo smashed up

Re: Berlina 2000

Nice pics Forza , Thanks.
I looked up your chassis number thru "parts gateway" then checked it against the Berlina register. Your car is not on there but the next nearest number to it is only 8 digits away. Yours being AR******9 and the one on the register is AR******1. The one on the register lives in Chicago Illinois and most of the Berlinas on there with chassis numbers that start with the same 3 numbers as yours are in the US. So I think its fair to say that your car started out as being built with LHD and US spec. fuel injection.
Also did a bit of cross reffing of the car that first got me hooked on Berlinas all those years ago and it turns out that it was built only 247 cars down the line after mine!!!
Got any more pics?
P.S. Glad you didn't have any of those brake discs off me as they don't fit!!! The studs are closer together. My guess is that they may be for Alfettas/GTV's

Re: Berlina 2000

The gold 2000 Berlina is entered in Barons Classic Italia auction on 31st July. Estimate of £3,500 to £5,000 which I guess will make it the most expensive Berlina ever.

Hi guys, Sorry I couldn't make it to Summer Alfa Day as I was away on holiday. How was things in the Berlina department?

I'm very suprised to see the Gold Berlina is due to be auctioned, hope it goes to a good home with it being in such good condition. Shame it's an auto, i'd fancy it myself if it was a manual.....
