Hmmm S4 Headlight Main/Dip lever

I used the headlights on my S4 for the first time this week and the Dip/Main lever seems to operate "the wrong way up" to me.

When I lift the lever the lights dip.... and when I drop the lever the lights go onto main beam

Which seems intuitively wrong (to me)

Is yours like this ?

Re: S4 Headlight Main/Dip lever

sorry, my headlights are on all the time, its the law here so the switch doesn't appear to do anything when I tried it If I pull it towards me I get high beam. That's it, hopefully someone else will know

Re: S4 Headlight Main/Dip lever

'sexactly the same on my S4, so I guess it's standard. Down means full beam, up means dipped headlights.
Interestingly (?) my headlamp level adjustment operates contrary to the way the little wedge symbol suggests. The level of the lights ìs controlled by a dial, and there's an icon next to the dial which resembles the 'volume' icon on a stereo. The headlight level gets lower if I roll the dial towards where the wedge gets fatter, which on a stereo would mean the volume was going up. Weird. Might be a result of the conversion from LHD.
