156 seats in Spider

I seem to recall ages age someone mentioning that 156 seats may fit the 105 Spider. Anyone have more info?
The seats in my Spider are not very good condition; rattly, covers worn & torn and the vinyls red hot in summer . Some nice cloth seats would be great.

Looking forward to hearing from someone out there

Well, I haven't read that but have same combination of cars as you.
From memory I'll say that the width of the seats don't differ much so with some modifications they'll fit.
But, don't trugh the naggered old ones on the skip, the maybe next owner might want them for originality - they can be repaired and fitted with new "original" covers.

Re: 156 seats in Spider

Erik, I'm not going to throw the originals away just fancy some nicer, cooler (in summer) and more supportive seats. Thought some other Alfa ones would fit straight in. I may have read about 156 seats fitting on the AROC or AlfaBB, cannot remember and cannot find the post anywhere.
Maybe if I'm bored one day I'll try the ones in My 156 for size .

Re: 156 seats in Spider

Hi
I also have the same combination of cars. For what I remember when renovating my spider, the seats weren't that much of a big deal if you have got a bit of time. The vinyl covers come in at about £70-£80 and if you have a local foam merchant they can knock up the seat and back cushions really quite cheap. some cheap slipover covers from halfords or similar will keep the sun off them when parked up.
Try and keep it original.
Plus I dont think off hand that the 156 seats are as low as the spider ones. I can barely fit my hands under the spider seats whereas there's all sorts of junk under the 156 seats.
I hope you find a good solution

Re: 156 seats in Spider

Depending on where you are "up North", I've got plenty of 156 seats lying around if you wish to test your theory....could be handy since I have a Spider too.......:-)

I'm in Lancashire...

I'm in South Lakes, Ulverston. I need to have a quick measure of mine first, to see if there is any chance.
Thanks for the offer I may take you up on it after the hols.
