New cylinde head

I've recently acquired a 1973 2L Spider Veloce (imported from California) and within a couple of weeks, I've managed to break it!

I've been reliably informed by a friendly mechanic that the cylinder head is cracked (no other problems - fortunately!).

Can any classic Alfa owners recommend any Alfa specialists in the North West (UK) who could fix it, or tell me where I can get a replacement head from for me to do it myself.

I don't want to spend a fortune as the car only cost me £3500!

Thanks in advance...

Re: New cylinde head

I'd be interested to know if Classicarco have a good reputation - as AROC Lancs secretary I get asked for recommendations quite often and have suggested them, but no personal experience....

It might be worth ringing my mate Nick on 0151 486 0174 who (part-time) traded as Spidercars...he's downsized a bit recently - divorce costs.....:-( but might well still have a few heads kicking around. And he's near to you!

HTH
